As the planet of air, Saturn has seven rings around it in astronomy. It is the slowest moving planet which transits in a particular sign in 30 months and gives fruits of our Karmas in between the age of 37 and 39. It however builds a base for these fruits before the age of 37. For example, Saturn presence in the 2nd house in a birth chart may not result in accumulating enough money to fulfil one’s desires in early life, but after the age of 37 that person will get enough money to fulfil all his desires and wishes. Similarly, if Saturn is in sign of Cancer then one may face a lot of trouble in buying property till the age of 37, but once he is past this age he can bury property and enjoy it by living in it.
Even when there is a conflict, Saturn tries to give us certain lessons and the lessons will have something to do with either the house occupied by Saturn or in the sign occupied by Saturn. That is because Saturn is the judge of our past karmas and gives us fruits of our deeds from our previous births; but if we avoid harming others in the present birth, and remain conscious of our present karma to do good deeds then punishment, “danda,” of Shani is not permanent.
